Solar power, simplified.

You shouldn’t need to become a solar expert to approve a quote and start saving on power.

Imvelo Energy manages the entire process from financing to engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance.

SolarDesign, build, maintain

Engineering, procurement and construction, and the operation and maintenance of every installation.

FinanceFunding and structuring

Arranges and structures the finance behind lease-to-own and Power Purchase Agreement plant.

CommercialGeneration at scale

Develops generation and storage projects that sell power to industrial offtakers (electricity resellers).

Three solar configurations

Imvelo Energy provides a variety of solar power configurations paired with various financing options.

Grid-tied

Solar only, working alongside the grid. Every unit the panels make during the day is a unit you do not buy.

Built for: Daytime loads with a stable supply

See a grid-tied project

Hybrid and off-grid

Solar with battery storage. Sunlight charges the battery so you have consistent power through outages, night time and load-shedding. Off-grid sites swap the grid for a standby generator.

Built for: Sites that cannot stop when the grid does, and lodges or remote operations with no grid at all

See a hybrid projectSee an off-grid project

Grid-interactive

A battery that works the tariff: charges when power is cheap, runs the site through the peak and caps the demand charge.

Built for: Heavy loads on time-of-use tariffs

Solar finance options

The same engineering, the same build and the same team. Only the capital changes.

Section 12B is a tax allowance that lets a business deduct the cost of a solar plant it owns, up to 1 MW, in the first year. For a company paying 27% tax, that is about 27% of the build price. Chat to us for more information about your Section 12B tax allowance.

Questions buyers ask

Does my site qualify?

It depends on roof space and angle, shading, the cable run to the distribution board, how much of your load runs in daylight, your tenure and your electricity spend. Send your last twelve electricity bills and we will tell you whether the site fits, and why if it doesn’t.

What is lease-to-own?

The default way to pay. Nothing is paid upfront, you pay one fixed monthly figure, maintenance and insurance are included, and the solar plant is yours for R1 at the end of the term.

What happens at the end of the term?

On lease-to-own the solar plant transfers to you for R1, and every unit it makes after that is yours.

Who maintains the solar plant?

Imvelo monitors every plant remotely and schedules cleaning and electrical inspections. On lease-to-own, maintenance and insurance are included in the lease.

Can I claim Section 12B?

Section 12B lets a business deduct the cost of a solar plant it owns, up to 1 MW, in the first year. It applies when you buy the plant. Your accountant will confirm how it applies to you.

How long does it take?

The steps add up to about 11 to 18 weeks from site visit to commissioning. Grid-connection approvals can add time.

Glossary
Demand charge
The part of a business electricity bill based on the highest power the site draws in the month, separate from the energy it uses.
Notified maximum demand
The capacity a site has agreed with its supplier. Going over it adds a charge to the bill.
Peak and time-of-use
Electricity costs more per unit in the weekday morning and evening peaks. A battery charged off-peak covers those hours.
Embedded generation
Power produced on your own site, connected on your side of the meter.
Distribution board
The electrical board the solar plant connects into.
Section 12B
A tax allowance that lets a business deduct the cost of a solar plant it owns, up to 1 MW, in the first year.
